The brief for this very special photography job was ' Humans of New York ' style portraits to celebrate the first 100 residents arrival in the village. A dream shoot for me as I LOVE capturing people . Longridge Estate Retirement Village is situated just outside of Paeroa. When I asked each resident how they were adjusting to life in a retirement village the overwhelming response was " we just love the community vibe and getting to know all our new neighbours". I spent 3 days with these wonderful people and came to the conclusion that living there would be like my year spent at Student Village when I was at Waikato Uni - so much fun!!!
